Orff-Schulwerk is a process of teaching music to children by involving them in the process of creating music together. Through imitation, exploration, and improvisation, students develop musical skills and understandings. Students work with a variety of media including speech, song, instrument playing, drama, and movement in an active, playful community. in this workshop, you will become immersed in the “Orff World” through singing, playing, exploring, moving, and most important, beautiful music-making. You will be introduced to the process through lessons appropriate for elementary school students, and occasionally extended to develop your own musical skills needed for artistic teaching.
