Description

The Goshen Orchestra Staff is a three member team with integrated co-teaching at all levels. This position is the podium director of the 5th grade orchestra and 6th grade orchestra. 5th grade orchestra is about 90-120 students a year and meets twice a week. Once as a combined full group and once per week at their individual schools in small groups. 6th grade orchestra is about 60-75 students a year and meets daily for 50 minutes. This position assists all other orchestras in the total program of over 450 students in grades 5-12. Typically 20%-30% of our students in grades 6-12 enroll in private lessons. This is a major orchestra program in Indiana with a very supportive community. Valid Indiana (or reciprocal) teaching licence. Educational Background/Training in string pedagogy Background as string specialist with performance experience (violin/viola preferred)
